Does the idea of biking across America sound like a challenge to you? How about trying it without using your eyes? That’s what SEE supporter Chris Mairs is doing this summer. Chris, a tech entrepreneur from the U.K., is raising money for SEE by riding over 3,600 miles across the country.
He is also totally blind, having lost his sight at age 18, to a rare degenerative condition. He will be riding on the back of a tandem bike, with a partner steering. Chris started his ride in Astoria, Oregon, on June 18, and will finish in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on August 7.
