Medical Missions for Surgical Training

This article discusses the pros and cons of using medical missions as training opportunities for ophthalmologists.

There are multiple reasons why these missions are not recommended for learning Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS). Alternatively, when appropriate procedures and guidelines are followed, mission trips can be valuable learning experiences. The article also mentions various training opportunities for those interested in learning SICS.
